The Beauty of Remote Assistance

The last thing you want when you get stuck with your computer is to make a trip to the repair center, especially with our island traffic. Fortunately, Apple has provided us with a solution for remote assistance for over two decades.

This is how we do it.

Yesterday, my mom, who lives in France, called me up. She had just received a new printer and was having real trouble getting it working. It took me about 10 minutes to figure out what was going on, and then another 20 minutes to get her printer working. Throughout the process we were communicating and I could provide remote assistance through our proprietary tools. She had been incredibly stressed because she needed to print out legal documents urgently. The reason she had the bought the new printer was because her old printer kept getting jammed. Needless to say, the frustration had been building over a few weeks and had come to a head, creating real anxiety on her end. Once she saw the printer appear on her computer, you can imagine the sense of relief she felt.

One of my clients lost an incredibly important folder. The folder was there, but there was nothing in it. She called up and asked what she could do. Of course, troubleshooting lost data is incredibly difficult even in person, but through our tools, we were able to remotely diagnose and perform a deep search of her computer. Eventually we found a solution.

Whenever you are having trouble with any of your devices, the first thing I recommend is to call or text us and tell us about your issue to see if we can fix it remotely. We typically respond within an hour or less.
